Use Shikakai powder as a conditioner. Take a cup of the powder and mix it with water until you get a paste. Then apply this paste onto your hair and leave on for thirty minutes and then wash out. It makes African Hair silky smooth and beautiful.

Another set of products that you can find are Mira herbal shampoos and oils products. These can do wonders for your hair, especially if it's damaged or liable to breaking. The oil itself will make your hair less frizzy, which is important for those who would like to grow African hair stronger and longer. You will see that after the use of these products your hair will recover and be ready for its maximum growth.

If you are keen on hair styling, remember that you can do it but just watch out that you do not dry your hair out. You can use some styling gels and you can afford to blow dry your mane once a month. If you feel like straightening your mane, use something that won't be too cruel to it. Your hair should be fine even if you do this occasionally.

Keep your mane will moisturized. This is so because African hair is usually dry. That is why it is essential that you keep it well moisturized using the aforementioned oil. Or you can use any good herbal hair oil. Take Biotin and prenatal pills these will go along way to help nourish your hair roots. Good nourishment will allow your mane to grow longer

The key is to avoid harsh chemicals treatments on your mane. When it comes to African hair this one point is the cause of hair loss and slower growing tresses.
