Lace Wig Adhesive - Which Is Better Tape Or Glue?
Author: Tina James
To apply your lace wig securely to your head, you will need to use glue or tape especially made for this purpose.
If you use tape, it should be double side and clear so it will not be detectable once your wig is applied.
So which lace wig adhesive is better? Tape or glue? The answer to that is the type of lace wig adhesive you use is really a personal preference. Both work extremely well.
However, glue tends to be more popular for those individuals who maintain an active lifestyle.
Glue will also hold up better if you enjoy swimming and other vigorous activities that will cause you to sweat a lot.
There are water based and solvent based adhesives. Water based adhesives have less chemicals in them and may work better for those who have sensitive skin. But solvent based adhesives will give you a longer and firmer hold. It can last up to 6 weeks.
Whichever glue you decide to use it is recommended that you test a small amount of glue on a sensitive area of your skin and let I sit for a couple of hours to see if it causes any type of irritation or reaction.
If after an hour you haven't noticed any type of breakout in the area you applied the glue, you should be able to move forward with your lace wig application without any problems.
It is extremely important that you only apply your lace wig with glue that is made specifically for that purpose.
Also, be sure not to get any glue on your natural hair during the application of your lace wig. This could cause your hair to break off or fall out.
Lace wigs have become a popular hair styling option for many women. Whichever lace wig adhesive you decide to use to hold your wig in place will give you the look and style you desire to achieve.
